Bead Table Wednesday

Right now, making things is al about Fall; Halloween, Day of the Dead and designing for the Fall Patchwork Shows.  What's really difficult about this is that.....it's HOT.  Not that Fall in California is any big deal, but we do get touches of crispness.  Certainly enough for some great inspiration.  Well, I got myself some spooky inspiration tonight and started "getting in the mood".

My inspiration stash:

Some of the finished pieces mixed in with the bunch (obviously, the will be an ongoing project):

The above bat says "Fly By Night" the one below says, simply, "Spooky".

Notice the sweet little acorn earrings next to the bat bracelet.  They are very simple and I love them!  So not like me.

This is what I may be working with tomorrow.  There's a nice selection of artist made beads that make me think Fall along with some vintage leaves, crows, bats and a few enameled pieces I made a few weeks ago (new hobby!).
I wasn't feeling too hot today (I blame the anesthesia on Monday) but I hope to feel better tomorrow and be a bit more inspired by the upcoming season.  I think some tombstones may be in order.....

Lauren Moon Giveaway

Lauren Moon Jewelry ia giving away a beautiful stash of Earthenwood Studios beads. While I'd love to win it all myself, it wouldn't be fair not to share that this is going on.  While you're blog hopping, check out Earthenwood Studios blog.  One of my favorite blogs to read.  It's always inspirational!

The Beginning

I've been making jewelry and art for a while now.  I sell at a few amazing boutique stores and at some of the coolest craft fairs.  It's been a labor of love and a break in the hectic life of hard working pet sitter and dog walker (my other business) as full time breast cancer survivor.

This year has been taken up with surgery after surgery, but I think I have them all out of the way now.  So, it's time to get busy on making the jump to the next step of my creative output - namely a blog and an Etsy site.

So, here's to beginnings all around.  Bear with me as I make mistakes, improve my photo skills, make the ever-present typos and ramble on about good things.  I'll start for real tomorrow with Bead Table Wednesday.
